Show Network Security: A Time of Major Transition? My Talk From HOPE 26

As I had mentioned, Yesterday was my 9th talk at the HOPE conference; this is the 13th HOPE conference I’ve attended. It was live streamed so I’m sharing it here.

Here’s the summary:

In his HOPE 26 presentation, "Show Network Security: A Time of Major Transition?", John Huntington explores the growing cybersecurity and regulatory challenges facing live entertainment networks. He examines how upcoming regulations like the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) are forcing the industry to adapt, evaluating emerging compliance frameworks such as ESTA's FENCE and Singularity's Sig-Net. Ultimately, Huntington discusses whether heavy cryptographic requirements fit the low-latency needs of live shows and suggests standardizing a industry-wide risk assessment and threat mitigation procedure instead.
