The Story Behind the Photo #4: Taos Tree at Sunset

Back in August 2010, I did a last minute road trip to check off state #49 from my list--New Mexico (the only one left for me is Hawaii).  I was driving around at sunset outside of Taos, New Mexico, looking for a good shot. I ended up taking a wrong turn, and ending up on a dodgy dirt road at the bottom of a canyon, where the sunset had long since passed.  I was disappointed and driving back into town when I saw this off to the side of the road.  I pulled over and ran out between cars coming with my tripod to get this shot.
