Interesting Sound Articles

On ProSoundWeb, Pat Brown from Syn-Aud-Con has a pretty good article on one of the reasons for bad sound--excessive stage volume.  This is one of my pet peeves, as I detailed in my "When Live Sound Sucks" series.  (One of these days, I'll get caught up and turn all that into an article).

And this is just unbelievably stupid (from Brooklyn Vegan), and I don't mean the spelling:

My Bloody Valentine is apparently proud of the fact that they permanently damaging their fans' hearing.  That's just incredibly stupid and irresponsible.

Interestingly, though, loud monitors are not likely the cause of complaints for bad sound at a Madonna concert.

Finally, I also had no idea what role Suzanne Vega played in the development of the MP3
