The Fire in Seaside Park and Seaside Heights

Poor Seaside Heights and Seaside Park really can not catch a break  (the fire crossed the border of the two towns, NJ.com has a great map here).  Here's some photos from the heartbreaking scene today:

Fortunately, the fire was contained to the south end of the boardwalk; the north end survived and was doing well today as part of a previously scheduled fair where I had an excellent cheesesteak.

After all that devastation, here's a nice sunset from Island Beach State Park, a few miles from the site of the fire.
