Tropical Storm Irene Wind Damage In Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn

Photos of a few trees down in my neighborhood (one on my block, about 100 feet from my car) and a little flooding.  About what you would expect from a tropical storm/weak Category 1 hurricane:

While I have been critical of the city's overreaction to the storm (in particular some of the manditory evacuation and shutting down the MTA), I commend them for post-event planning--these crews were here less than an hour after the winds subsided and worked very efficiently.
