New York Harbor Timelapse

I'm taking a week long CCNA "boot camp" (more on that later) at the southern tip of Manhattan this week, at a training center that has a great view, so I shot a time lapse out the window today with my little P7000 (watch in HD full screen to see the dual masted sailing boat make its way through the harbor at rush hour):

The video starts at about 7:45 and runs through lunch time...

See my other time lapses here.

John, that's fabulous!

The sailing vessel, by the way, is the Half Moon. Had to do a number of stops, rewinds & re-stops to be sure but I'm sure!

If it's not a secret, what equipment did you use to do the time lapse?

No secret, but I use a bunch of different methods. This one I shot with a Nikon P7000, using a PClix intervalometer (stupid P7000 intervalometer sucks). I then assembled the thing in Quicktime. I also sometimes use a D90 with a different intervalometer, plus a Go Pro HD...

Thanks for writing!

John
