Blind Testing In Sound Presentation at USITT Conference in Charlotte Friday

On Friday at 2:45pm, with Jason Romney of UNSCA I'll be giving a presentation at the US Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) Conference in Charlotte, NC, called "Blind Testing in Sound: Not Just for the Lab".  Here's the preliminary description:

In order to move the art of sound engineering forward, we have to rely on testable claims, and the best method to discern facts from delusion is double blind testing. In this session, John Huntington of NYC College of Technology and Jason Romney of UNCSA will discuss some practical applications of this kind of testing, give some pointers, and discuss recent experiments and research.

I hope it will be a fun and informative session, and at the session I will be announcing some preliminary results of the Star-Quad Cable Blind Listening Test, which I set up as an example for the conference.  Remember, the survey for the listening test closes at 6pm NYC time on Thursday, March 10.

Hope to see you in Charlotte!  And, if you have good BBQ recommendations, let me know!
