About Me

I'm John Huntington, author of Control Systems for Live Entertainment, the first book on show control and entertainment control systems. Through Zircon Designs, I do consulting and design work on entertainment control, show control, and audio systems, but this site contains many non-commercial resources related to entertainment, technology, and anything else I find interesting.

Rings of Sound

I've written here about bracelets made to resemble sound samples, and of course there's my seeing sound waves video (which has as of today been viewed by more than 28,000 people), and now the Eyebeam Reblog has these very cool rings:

Brooklyn-based artist (all the cool people live in Brooklyn, of course) Sakurako Shimizu makes rings and wrist cuffs that are laser cut with any sound sample you want. The rings above are wedding rings with the audio samples, "I do".  Here's a necklace made of giggles:

And some sound file earrings:

Very cool stuff!
