My former student James Hergen, who has often heard me speak about technology, sent me this (NOT safe for work):

Interestingly, in an article I wrote for Theatre Crafts magazine (now Live Design) in 1991, I had to make up some model numbers, and I used "SA-POS":

In the context of the Onion video, you can now figure out exactly what that ackronym stood for (the "A" was for ass, of course). 

The article was a survey of working sound designers, talking about equipment, and it's kind of an interesting read in the context of today, so I posted a scan in my articles section.
