Les Paul

Finally saw Les Paul at Iridium last night. I've heard him speak at the AES conference about his accomplishments in audio, but I had never seen him play live. He's now 93, but man can he still play, and he seems to be such a gracious, charming, and funny man.

Steve Miller was the unannounced special guest.

The sound was pretty good (all Meyer system) but perhaps mixed with a bit too much restraint as I often had to strain a bit to hear anything but Les' guitar.

Later this week I'm seeing Steely Dan (cliche or not, they are incredible live) and then Brazilian Girls.
