Storms Over Rhode Island

I was in Rhode Island yesterday for a coastal sea kayaking class.  There was a small craft advisory and forecast of 30 MPH winds, but we went out anyway.  We paddled down a river and arrived at the beach where the river meets the sea and were greeted with this sight (click on photos for full size versions, more photos and videos here):

We went out anyway (this is the view from my kayak behind those rocks you see abfove), note the paddlers in the surf (click for a larger image):

These pix confirm without doubt Huntington, that you are in fact - out of your mind!

Hi John.

Great post, but I want to here more about it. The photos look pretty scary, but fun.

Was this an AKT class?
Who else went?

Don't know if your available, but I want to drag some people out to West Bar(Breezy) for some scary paddling this SUnday. You interested?
