. . . at Manhattan’s Eyebeam art and technology center, 30 or so of last season’s less expensive Elmos are doing something different for the holidays.

Repurposed, reprogrammed and removed of their skin, they now move in unison in a project by resident artist Adrianne Wortzel, depicting Napoleon’s misguided march into the Egyptian desert in the demonstration, “A Reenactment of the Battle of the Pyramids.
