About Me

I'm John Huntington, author of Control Systems for Live Entertainment, the first book on show control and entertainment control systems. Through Zircon Designs, I do consulting and design work on entertainment control, show control, and audio systems, but this site contains many non-commercial resources related to entertainment, technology, and anything else I find interesting.

LDI Vegas 2008

LDI 2008 wound down yesterday.  Our networking session went well, I saw a couple interesting things on the floor, talked to and hung out with a ton of people (many, ironically, friends from NYC who I rarely see), went out a bunch, had some nice dinners and saw the Criss Angle/Cirque Believe last night (I will need more time to write that up here, I'm still here in Vegas and am off to do interviews with the design team shortly).

With a small and experienced group on our annual Red Rock Canyon hike yesterday, we were able to scramble up an additional peak we had never done before, and that was really fun. Here's the view back to Vegas from the peak:

My new camera has a GPS built in so these photos (click for more) were automatically geo-tagged--very cool!
